<br />
It's saddening for me to say this, but Book Loving By M. is moving.<br />
<br />
I wasn't very satisfied with my work on this blog, and Blogger was a different blogosphere for me. A couple months before starting BLBM, I discovered Tumblr and was adjusted to its mechanics. Blogger was quite different and it wasn't as accessible for me as much as Tumblr was. I had the mobile app for Tumblr and used it quite frequently there. I didn't use my laptop as much because I just never had the time. Even with my Tumblr, the majority of my time was used via their mobile app. <br />
<br />
I didn't find the mobile app for Blogger as easy as desktop. So I deleted the app and only posted from my laptop. But as summer progresses, I realize I use my iPod more than my laptop so I've decided to move my Blogger blog onto Tumblr. It will have the same content, if not then more. I've already uploaded all my book reviews from this blog onto <a href="http://xoxobookishangel.tumblr.com/"><span style="color: #e06666;">xoxo Bookish Angel</span></a>. It'll take quite a while to change all my Blogger-related accounts and other stuff linked with this blog so please bear with the change. <br />
<br />
I hope to see you on Tumblr!<br />
<br />
<em>and for one last time,</em><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That's all for my post, and remember: <em>you should be a tree; they have awesome afterlives</em>.</div>

So </span><span style="color: #ea9999;">when she starts working at chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world of makeup, lacy skirts, and BeDazzlers. Even stranger, she's spending time with a boy who has never seen her tear it up in a pickup game.<br /><br />To cope with the stress of faking her way through this new reality, Charlie seeks late-night refuge in her backyard, talking out her problems with Braden by the fence that separates them. But their Fence Chats can't solve Charlie's biggest problem: she's falling for Braden. Hard. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.</span></span><span style="color: #ea9999;"> </span><a data-text-id="15457682949572546822" href="https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/18298225-on-the-fence?ac=1#"></a></div>
<div align="justify">
<br />
</div>
<div align="justify">
Kasie West has created a wonderful story about finding yourself, even though it can be tough sometimes. Charlie is a tomboy. Although as she is raised by a single father surrounded by three brothers, that is to be expected. Her life has only consisted of boyish events; football, baseball, you name it. She can play it. Very well.</div>
<div align="justify">
</div>
<div align="justify">
While her brothers have prepared her for a simple pick-up game, she'll be completely in the dark to deal with a new job, new friends, and a new boy. Charlie needs money to pay off a speeding ticket so she has applied for a job at a chichi boutique. Knowing how to throw a football won't help her learn to dress like a girly-girl or how to apply mascara. Knowing baseball players' names won't help her cope with her newfound friends. Once she's developed another side to herself she never thought she'd ever have, she's decided to keep her two worlds separate. Feminine from boyish, makeup from pickup game. </div>
<div align="justify">
</div>
<div align="justify">
<span style="color: #cc0000; font-size: large;">“We can't let boys define how we feel about ourselves. You have to know who you are before you should let any boy worth anything in.”</span><span style="color: #cc0000;"> -Kasie West, On The Fence</span></div>
<div align="justify">
</div>
<div align="justify">
Another change in Charlie's world is her fence talks with Braden late at night. She seeks solace from her childhood friend, but maybe these talks have created a desire for more than friendship. Although the introduction of another (cute) boy into her life can mess up things even more. <br />
<br />
Charlie was an amusing yet frustrating character to read through in this book. For me, as I'm described as a girly-girl, it was nice to see the perspective of a tomboy. Her life isn't that much different from mine, we just had a couple hobbies that the other doesn't, but that's to be assumed as we are two separate people. She still had boy problems, family problems, and inner thoughts like I do. It was a refreshing read to watch a character's life that differs from most. Many female protagonists from romance-contemporary books these days wear make-up, worry about their look and their hair, etc. Charlie was the complete opposite until she starts making new friends. <br />
<br />
What irritated me was her will to change who she was in front of her new friend(s). She tried her best to completely separate her two selves (her old one, and her new one). Although you'll see what happens with that as the story progresses. (I won't indulge into much detail on that, as spoilers aren't much fun).<br />
<br />
There was a lot of character development in this book. Charlie started as an aggressive, competitive, tomboy. With a little help of a chichi boutique, and new girl friends, Charlie has become a different person, but yet remains <em>Charlie</em>. The amount of progression that was made with her personality is astounding. She's gone from boyish to... well, you have to read the book to find out!<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z3cul1EHHVw/VaFk10DDf_I/AAAAAAAAAeE/eLiLxV-LWL8/s1600/blog%252C%2Bfangirling%2B9.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="97" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-z3cul1EHHVw/VaFk10DDf_I/AAAAAAAAAeE/eLiLxV-LWL8/s200/blog%252C%2Bfangirling%2B9.gif" width="200" /></a> ROMANCE. OMG, I just love the romantic scenes here and there. Charlie and [a certain boy] were extremely adorable together and every cute moment just made me want to squeal out loud. It seems after reading so many books, I've mastered the art of <em>keeping your squeals to yourself</em>. Although the love between these two characters had been a massive temptation to turn away from that practice and <em>squeallllllllllllllllllll. </em><br />
<br />
Okay, I've composed myself now. Good.<br />
<br />
Overall, it was an enjoyable (yet a tad annoying) read. A great book to read in the summer time. Cute boys, adorable romance, character development. What more would you want from a beach-y book? Read through <em>On The Fence</em>, as Charlie figures out who she really is, but loses herself along the way.<br />

Mare Barrow lives in a world divided by colors, not skin but blood. The ordinary Reds serve the mysterious Silver, who are born with abilities out of this world. She is one year away from bidding farewell to her family, her best friend Kilorn, and her life of thievery to serve in the army fighting against wars that seem to never end. Although when Mare shows Silver-like powers in front of the royal family and High Houses, her Red blood ceases to be important. To cover up this impossibility, the King betroths her to his youngest son and she must portray the life of a long-lost daughter to a war hero of a disappeared High House. Her Red blood must not be shown while her Silver powers are put into the spotlight. She is thrust into a world of deceit, betrayal and unexpected friendships. </div>

Okay first, my disclaimer is that I have yet to figure out how to express my feelings via words. But my primary order of business is THAT PLOT TWIST (at the end) THOUGH. I know there are some readers who have yet to read this book and will be oblivious to what readers who already read this book are thinking. Those who haven't picked up Red Queen will be confused as those who've already experienced the miracles of Victoria Aveyard's writing will be like "I KNOW RIGHT!!!" You guys know what I'm thinking of. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #cc0000;"><span style="font-size: large;">“To look powerful is to be powerful.”</span> -Victoria Aveyard, Red Queen</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Given that hint of a plot twist at the end, you should already have an idea to how awesome this book is. At first, the book was a little slow. Thus causing me to take such an amount of time to read it. Although of course, this book is set in another world after ours so it's quite expected for a chunk of the novel to be dedicated specifically for creating the society Mare lives in. After you've adjusted to Mare's life and the rules, the book just goes by in a snap. I never wanted the book to end, but it did. With such a change of direction in the plot, at that. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="quotes">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Mare was a strong, fierce female lead. She was (excuse my language) badass in every way and a suiting protagonist for a world like hers. We are introduced to other characters, as well. But I believe I shouldn't discuss them in a spoiler-free review because if I did then I'd bend the title "spoiler-free". Although if you were wondering, I still would like Mare to end up with <u>he who has betrayed</u>. You'll know who I'm discussing about after you've read the book. Many of you will ponder with "Why?". I really don't know the reason as to why I still like him but he's just too... I'm at a loss of words, sorry. I just do. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's almost the end of June and I'd really like to fit in another post before July comes. Featured in this post are my "reviews" from back when I didn't know <em>how many grammatical errors I could ever make all in one post </em> nor did I know <em>how to edit my "reviews".</em> As they are now standing on my blog here, they are not the actual reviews I have for these books. They're just some funny little things I thought I'd share with you guys. </div>

<span style="color: #ea9999;">recommended: yes. yes. yes. such a great book. yes. yes. yes.</span><br />
<span style="color: #ea9999;">summary:</span><br />
<span style="color: #ea9999;">BUT FIRST, IF YOU HAVEN’T READ SPLINTERED OR ARE PLANNING TO, DO NOT READ THE NEXT PARAGRAPH DUE TO THE FACT THAT YOU SHOULD BELIEVE ME WHEN I TELL YOU: YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED OF SUCH A GREAT BOOK.</span><br />
<span style="color: #ea9999;">now onto the actual summary:</span><br />
<span style="color: #ea9999;">In the second installation of the Splintered series, Alyssa has returned home to her father and recently-released-from-the-asylum mother. She also has come home to a boyfriend who has now been reciprocating her long-deeply buried feelings. She has also decided upon remaining Wonderland a “wonderful fairy tale land” in the eyes of her oblivious boyfriend. Everything has been going swell for her senior year, that is until a special someone has been acknowledging his presence. A special someone that she thought would remain in Wonderland: Morpheus. Explaining his reasons, Alyssa is known to the fact that Wonderland and her precious human realm is in danger unless she faces her great-great-great grand mother: Red.</span><br />

An ellipsis is really all I have to comment on my own doing. How I managed to receive the English Language award from my elementary school-graduation ceremony, I don't frankly know. It's a miracle I've actually moved past that writing stage, or else I wouldn't have such a blog. <br />

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Summer is here, and it's to stay (well until September, of course). I haven't done any recommendation posts yet on this blog, so I thought I should start now. </div>
<a name='more'></a> Summer is the time for relaxing, romances, for me at least. Here are a couple of my fave summer love reads:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zNXYQ4Jsvuo/VY7lgsBT0FI/AAAAAAAAAbg/NUL4qdOWJ3E/s1600/Anna%2Band%2Bthe%2BFrench%2BKiss.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-zNXYQ4Jsvuo/VY7lgsBT0FI/AAAAAAAAAbg/NUL4qdOWJ3E/s200/Anna%2Band%2Bthe%2BFrench%2BKiss.jpg" width="133" /></a></div>
<span id="goog_1322251748">Title: Anna and the French Kiss</span><br />
Author: Stephanie Perkins<br />
My reason: You will just die of the cutesy-lovey-dovey-romance in this book. It's soo overwhelming. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o_nAq6wvyBM/VO0sgQfRtxI/AAAAAAAAAGs/PXyD2WCsbsw/s1600/A%2BLittle%2BSomething%2BDifferent.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-o_nAq6wvyBM/VO0sgQfRtxI/AAAAAAAAAGs/PXyD2WCsbsw/s200/A%2BLittle%2BSomething%2BDifferent.jpg" width="133" /></a></div>
Title: A Little Something Different<br />
Author: Sandy Hall<br />
My reason: A short, sweet love story taken from all perspectives but the protagonists. Great for a short road trip or travel.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aiDC8bb4CTM/VO0f7vDtLSI/AAAAAAAAAEo/ntjlet0suZo/s1600/To%2BAll%2Bthe%2BBoys%2BI%2527ve%2BLoved%2BBefore.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-aiDC8bb4CTM/VO0f7vDtLSI/AAAAAAAAAEo/ntjlet0suZo/s200/To%2BAll%2Bthe%2BBoys%2BI%2527ve%2BLoved%2BBefore.jpg" width="132" /></a><br />
<br />
Title: To All The Boys I've Loved Before<br />
Author: Jenny Han<br />
My reason: It's a beautiful story about a girl who gets pulled out into the real world. Filled with love, family and teenage problems, it's fitting for a nice read during the summertime. Or any time, really.<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JXnl8Pe5WhI/VV5f-pAAFHI/AAAAAAAAAVg/qkl_gRETOWs/s1600/The%2BBook%2Bof%2BBroken%2BHearts.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-JXnl8Pe5WhI/VV5f-pAAFHI/AAAAAAAAAVg/qkl_gRETOWs/s200/The%2BBook%2Bof%2BBroken%2BHearts.jpg" width="131" /></a><br />
<br />
Title: The Book of Broken Hearts<br />
Author: Sarah Ockler<br />
My reason: Told in the view of Jude during the summer break, it's a real <em>summer </em>read that just makes you giddy all the time. <br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Sw6tPr60k_M/VO0toxFqL_I/AAAAAAAAAG0/IoF01T0WB00/s1600/The%2BFill-In%2BBoyfriend.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Sw6tPr60k_M/VO0toxFqL_I/AAAAAAAAAG0/IoF01T0WB00/s200/The%2BFill-In%2BBoyfriend.jpg" width="140" /></a><br />
<br />
<br />
Title: The Fill-In Boyfriend<br />

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's been yet again a long time since I last posted, but I guess graduating elementary school can be very overpowering. Here I am, and I come bearing the books I've been reading. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you've seen on my right sidebar, there is a list of books I've been "currently reading". The problem is, those are sort of, kind of the books I've started reading this year, but that doesn't mean I'm still reading them as of now. Temporarily, I've put down:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jKwQ9bB8WIc/VO0pqlWOSqI/AAAAAAAAAFs/_6mc-OfcvZY/s1600/I%2BAm%2BMalala.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-jKwQ9bB8WIc/VO0pqlWOSqI/AAAAAAAAAFs/_6mc-OfcvZY/s200/I%2BAm%2BMalala.jpg" width="128" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Title: I Am Malala</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Malala Yousafzai </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Reason for put-down: I tend to read more romance, fantasy and dystopian novels but this one didn't necessarily fit into either of these categories. I don't usually read autobiographies and memoirs, causing me a difficulty in progressing with this book.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Laini Taylor</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Reason for put-down: I needed a fast-pace, action-packed book at the time I was reading it, but I didn't even get to reach the middle nor the climax before I set it down. Not saying it was boring, but it lacked communication between the two protagonists. Of course, it was the author's purpose to raise interest when the characters actually/finally do meet but I just didn't have the effort to trudge through this so my copy will not being picked up any time soon. </div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Title: The Night Circus</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Erin Morgenstern</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Reason for put-down: I forgot that I was reading it. That's simply it. I usually read my books in their physical form, on my iPad's iBooks app and my BlueFire Reader app for Netgalley reads. Rarely do I read books on my iPod's iBooks, and my copy of this book just so happened to be located there. At first, I would read it everyday of that week, but less and less over time due to my forgetfulness of its existence. It has nothing to do with the content, but basically where my edition lies.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Title: Legend</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Marie Lu</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Reason for put-down: I had at first started reading this around December 2014, but I stopped because it acted as first as a book to read after I finished one book and was waiting for the next to arrive. When I found another book to read, one that I had wanted to read more than this one, I put Legend down. Yet again started to read it this year. I guess this is considered both a "put-down" and a "currently reading" book. I put it down for now, as my final tests and projects were piling up, but I've been into picking it back up for a while now. It's definitely high on my next reads.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Title: Some Kind of Normal</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Juliana Stone</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Reason for put-down: I started reading this book during my Quebec trip, but when it ended, I completely forgot about this read (provided by NetGalley). When I was searching through my iPod, looking for some place to clear the storage space, I found my BlueFire Reader app and I remembered my copy. I've, since then, been gradually starting to flip through the pages in the book (of course, not literally because it's an ebook).</div>

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's been a month, I know. I'm super sorry because life is just hard right now. Anyways, let's not dwell on the past and acknowledge that I actually posted something in May, shall we? it may have been posted on one of the very last days of May, but whatever. </div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
The starred books in this post are:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JXnl8Pe5WhI/VV5f-pAAFHI/AAAAAAAAAVc/CEYgqbO4xDE/s1600/The%2BBook%2Bof%2BBroken%2BHearts.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JXnl8Pe5WhI/VV5f-pAAFHI/AAAAAAAAAVc/CEYgqbO4xDE/s200/The%2BBook%2Bof%2BBroken%2BHearts.jpg" width="131" /></a></div>
Title: The Book of Broken Hearts<br />
Author: Sarah Ockler<br />
Rating: 4 stars<br />
My review:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #ea9999;"> This is the typical "stay away from this boy" cliché, but so much better. Jude has been told to refrain from falling in love with the Vargas boys. They may bring love, but it shall only result in heartbreak. She even swore an oath on a book (the entire ritual and everything). But when all her sisters are gone and she's in dire need of a someone to help restore a motorcycle, this mechanic just so happens to be a Vargas. What will happen when the one person you've been told to stay away from is coincidentally the one<strike> </strike>person you need? </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #ea9999;"> This may seem like the ultimate-cliché book, but Sarah Ockler dives deep into bigger concepts of things you may never even thought of before. Told from the view of girl who just wants to bring her dad back to the way he was before, it's captivating and it's an aspect of life that many people can relate to. An obvious 4-star book for me. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #ea9999;"> Sarah's characters have been well-sculpted and developed. Everyone connected to each other yet were polar opposites at the same time. The concept of this book was greatly created and was also brought out perfectly. I totally recommend it to people dealing with mental diseases or anyone just interested in a cute, lovable book.</span></div>
<br />
<br />

<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rOuE9icguFg/VV-7DBQtyEI/AAAAAAAAAVw/HGsQNGuTCEg/s1600/Famous%2BIn%2BLove.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-rOuE9icguFg/VV-7DBQtyEI/AAAAAAAAAVw/HGsQNGuTCEg/s200/Famous%2BIn%2BLove.jpg" width="133" /></a></div>
Title: Famous In Love<br />
Author: Rebecca Serle<br />
Rating: 5 stars<br />
My review:<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #ea9999;"> Similar to Not In The Script, this book shows the ups and downs of living the Hollywood life. Paige Townsen is torn from her mediocre life and is pulled into the world of paparazzi and controversies. Starring in a new movie, she meets Rainer Devon and Jordan Wilder. Her crazy status is about to get a whole lot crazier.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #ea9999;"> Paige Townsen was a relatable character, a small-town girl living out her dreams. She is put into an entire life of fame and fortune. Everyone who has been through new experiences and escapades can totally relate to Paige, the odd one out in a set of experts and professionals. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #ea9999;"> An outstanding 5 stars was what I gave this book on Goodreads. 5 stars for me means that the book was fantastic and I would definitely read it again (if I ever have the time). Predictable yet unsuspecting, Rebecca Serle tugs on your heartstrings with these characters and its plot, surprising everyone with its conclusion.</span> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />
I was initially going to post my review for The Promise of Amazing by Robin Constantine but I didn't get the chance to yet, so to hurry up the posting process, I completely disregarded it for this one. Don't worry, it'll appear in my next post. Whenever that will be.<br />
<br />
That's all for my post, and remember: <em>you should be a tree; they have awesome afterlives</em>.</div>

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's been a while since I've been posting on this blog, but I have been active via Twitter, Goodreads and Tumblr. I've been trying to equally balance my life between reading, Twitter, Goodreads, Tumblr, homework and studying. Of course, the universe just had to bless me with horrible time management skills. Recently, my to-be-reviewed pile has been expanding and growing out of control. So what I proposed to myself in doing is making miniature reviews in one post to save time and effort. Here goes nothing.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'll be reviewing:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q3KU0wxF2DM/VO0uUiLlqBI/AAAAAAAAAG8/4YCfHf7QojQ/s1600/Not%2BIn%2BThe%2BScript.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-Q3KU0wxF2DM/VO0uUiLlqBI/AAAAAAAAAG8/4YCfHf7QojQ/s1600/Not%2BIn%2BThe%2BScript.jpg" height="200" width="133" /></a>Title: Not In The Script</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Amy Finnegan</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Rating: 4 stars</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My review:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Ever wanted to see what happens behind all those movies and television shows you love to watch again and again? Well, read no further, besides this review, of course. This book was a promising, new look on celebrities and actors/actresses. We're pulled into the world of fame, fortune and paparazzi by Emma Taylor and Jake Elliot. Emma's past relationships have ended in anguish and tears, and she's hoping to stop with all the heartbreak. But when Jake breaks down her walls from his heartthrob label to his sweetheart side, Emma is about to be pulled into a roller coaster of laughs and cries. <br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eQFVeARCKjE/VUA7TEOQ8bI/AAAAAAAAAU0/o8UH0f0cCU8/s1600/blog%2C%2Bfangirling%2B6.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eQFVeARCKjE/VUA7TEOQ8bI/AAAAAAAAAU0/o8UH0f0cCU8/s1600/blog%2C%2Bfangirling%2B6.gif" height="180" width="200" /></a> This book really pulls the reader into the world of behind-the-scenes of Hollywood fame. I found this book very problematic for the characters and you really get an intake on how the actors/actresses deal with their fame and issues. You see a whole different side of all those controversies rather than what you hear from the media. A 4-star rating means that it was well-planned out, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and leaves you satisfied with the ending. It's not as much as a 5-star book, because although I loved the plot and characters, I wouldn't necessarily read it again. But, that's my opinion. Have a look at the book, and tell me what you think!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

Title: Let It Snow</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author(s): John Green, Maureen Johnson, Lauren Myracle</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Rating: 4 stars</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My review: </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Composed of three different stories written by three separate authors, we see the story of Christmas from quirky, fun and cute characters. Not wanting to spoil too much of what the story is about, prepare yourself for a heartwarming, easy Christmas read, in time for the holidays (although Christmas is in 7 months). It's a fast, short read that works best with sitting by the fire, drinking hot cocoa. Or just on your bed, comfortable. <br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-onjFx_kFmxw/VUA8RIcu7sI/AAAAAAAAAVE/Pig7hQsqbjY/s1600/blog%2C%2Bfrustrated.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-onjFx_kFmxw/VUA8RIcu7sI/AAAAAAAAAVE/Pig7hQsqbjY/s1600/blog%2C%2Bfrustrated.gif" height="110" width="200" /></a> The stories involve three conflicting characters, some seen from all three, some seen in just a few scenes. With the use of recurring characters, you really get to see the story in it's whole. Now, I'm not going to dive too much into detail, but Maureen Johnson's story was well-written, strong and the characters we're relatable. Can't really say the same for John Green's story though. While it was hilarious and also relatable, it slightly decreased down until Lauren Myracle's story. This last part wasn't the best, it wasn't my favourite (I spelled it like that because I'm Canadian) from all three, but it wasn't <em>horrible</em>. The story did end well with all the characters tied together, but her part of the book itself wasn't well-developed as I anticipated from the content of the first two. That's my thought of the book, though. Read it and find out yourself if you'll like it before labeling it bad. You never know, it might become your favourite book of all time...</div>

My review:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
From its roots of Beauty and The Beast and Greek mythology, this story circulates around Nyx, a girl who grew up learning to fear the enemy. But has to marry him in a debt for her father. Never really understanding what it feels like to be loved, Nyx delves into a world of magic, love, uncovered secrets and learns that sticky labels aren't always correct ones. Ignifex isn't who she thought he was; then again, when is someone ever? <br />
<br />
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eJmAdcW3_mI/VSXetkgeaFI/AAAAAAAAAQw/4WgQlLDVkjs/s1600/blog%2C%2Bbeautiful.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eJmAdcW3_mI/VSXetkgeaFI/AAAAAAAAAQw/4WgQlLDVkjs/s1600/blog%2C%2Bbeautiful.gif" height="111" width="200" /></a> This book wasn't what I thought it would be. The book is so beautifully written and well-played out. It's full of mysteries, twists, turns and the plot twists can be <em>so real</em>. Not wanting to damage your full ride of reading it, Nyx learns to love and knows how risky it can be to love. It's a choice between saving her people, or defending what she loves most. Sometimes, they aren't always different. I wouldn't mind reading this book again, especially when anticipating for the publication of Rosamund Hodge's new book, Crimson Bound.<br />
<br />
<br />
There you go guys, I've finally reviewed these books and a huge load has been lifted from my shoulders from not posting in a while. Expect more of these compressed reviews within these next few weeks or months because I never have time anymore. So when I do, I'll be able to check off a few books on my to-be-reviewed shelf more and more than expected. <br />

That's all for my post, and remember: <em>you should be a tree; they have awesome afterlives</em>.</div>

A couple days ago, I finished The Truth About Jack by Jody Gehrman. Received by NetGalley, I read the book via the BlueFire Reader app on my iPod before its release date, which is April 14, 2015 (one day from now). A compelling read, I tell you.<br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
On Goodreads, I rated this book a 4-star. It's actually a 4.5-star rating, Goodreads just doesn't have half-star options. It's a romantic, cute and enjoyable read. While reading this book, I experienced an entire roller coaster of emotions. I didn't cry (from despair), however, but from laughing my arse off- yes I did. It's lovable; it's a page-turner. With every chapter promising more, you never wanted to stop reading it! For me, anyways.</div>

When she receives a confirmation letter of her acceptance to RISD, an art school she's been desiring to attend, the same day she acknowledges the doings of both her boyfriend, Cody, and her best-friend, River, while they're at college. The extreme hurt and anguish causes her to throw a message in a bottle into the ocean, retelling of her miserable love life and current state. </div>

What she doesn't expect is that she gets a letter back. Alejandro Torres from Barcelona. A wonderful boy who travels the world and is from the very place she wants to visit. Is it fate playing a game on her? Another thing coming her way is a love interest who goes by the name Jack Sauvage. A cute misfit who is mysterious yet quirky. She feels very open to him, as if she already knows him. Whenever they're together, she feels as if it's okay to pour her heart out in front of him without him being judgmental. It's odd, but she feels <em>something</em>. Torn into 2 pieces, Alejandro and Jack both have a relentless effect on her. But will she ever find out that they're the same person? And if so, what will happen?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The real reason as to why it lost half of a star in my rating, is that it isn't as realistic as it seems to be. Yes, there are boyfriend-bestfriend betrayals; yes, there are love triangles. But it isn't that realistic to give your address away in a letter rolled up inside a bottle and throw it at the ocean. The reasonable thing to do would (maybe) yes throw the message in the bottle, but anyone in their right minds wouldn't just provide valuable information about one's self. Another thing I would like to comment on would be the hardwork Jack is putting in into getting the girl. <em>He's trying to be two different people at the same damn time</em>. I agree, there are guys and girls who are determined enough to do anything for someone they love, but Jack didn't even know her name before he realized he was going to be persistent. It wasn't very reasonable for Jack to go through all that effort for someone he barely talked to. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Overall, the book was great, a fun short read. I read it via my iPod day through night and it was exciting. Jody Gehrman has a way of illustrating this love story of a girl torn between two personnages but only one person. It's genius, really. Coming out tomorrow folks, catch The Truth About Jack in ebook stores!<br />

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I know, I know. I didn't post any updates about reading or finishing this book before, so why am I talking about it now? Last Thursday, I was checking my NetGalley reads for books to read and noticed that I have 2 books to read before their respective release dates (both on April 14, 2015). Aimee and the Heartthrob and The Truth About Jack are now my main literary priorities. I've already finished Aimee and the Heartthrob (which is why I'm reviewing it now) and I'm currently reading The Truth About Jack. <br />

<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
There's the little blurb to give you more of an insight of the book, besides the review of course.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Just as a disclaimer, this "review" is more of a critical talk, sans the spoilers.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
16-year-old Aimee Bingham has been in love with the hot boy band lead singer Miles Carlisle since she was eleven (she just hasn't known it yet). Of course, everyone's in love with him. But what makes her so different? Her older brother and Miles have been best friends and he's known her for 5 years. Aimee's fallen for that blond hair and blue eyes before all that fame and fortune. What makes it worse is that she's learned that Miles knew that she liked him, and she's always going to be the annoying little girl to him. Crushed, Aimee's little puppy crush on Miles has subsided, until the day she learns that her and her brother are supposed to go on tour with them, while her parents are unable to look after them for a while. What will happen when she sees Miles (besides on posters and through the television) in person; will her heart remain shut to his goofy smiles and hearty laughs, or will her heart learn to love again? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I give the book a 3.5-3.75 stars out of 5.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is because the author's effort to make it presentable to the target audience is radiating into this book. She uses many abbreviations that teenagers use these days, to try and make it relatable to the young adult population. There are words such as "crappers" (in a sense of vulgar language), "frickin" (which only a small amount of teenagers actually use because they have no shame in saying the complete word), and "bangin'" (not as a verb, as an adjective). There are a pile more of examples but they were just too tiring to remember. Yes, this novel would have been captivating if it were to become an audiobook. There are teens who use this kind of language, so I would think they would be accustomed with hearing such words, but seeing them on paper makes them visually unappealing. I'm not in any way/shape/form saying this to insult the author. I just felt that the writing style wasn't really my cup of tea.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The second thing I would like to get off my chest would be the clichés. The storyline follows the typical bestfriend-sister scenario; maybe you haven't read as many books with such setup but I've read enough Wattpad books to know, it's not an original story. I'll give it to Ophelia London though. The author adds more detail into the plot to make it more of her own. Throw in fame and fortune; BOOM! A new and enticing book. <br />
<br />
Besides these factors, the real reason I gave this book a 3.5 star-rating would be that as it did excite me with the characters (plus the romance <em>was</em> all cute and bubbly), it wasn't the most plot-twisting book ever. You could see what was coming from a mile away, and that's not always a good thing. Right from the start of the book until the end, you could see the path of the story like there was nothing else to see. Like a horse with blinders. <br />
<br />
The book did lose some points from me with the misuse of the language, the cliché plot line and the evident ending. <br />
<br />
Yes, I didn't quite like the book as I wanted to, but maybe you would. If contemporary romances are your cup of tea, then try it out. If bestfriend-sister (or bestfriend-sibling relationships in general) is what you like, give it a try. If you would like to experience what it's like to be dating someone famous, or when you're famous and dating, read it. It comes out April 14, 2015 (a week away) as an ebook. <br />
<br />
That's all for my post, and remember: <em>you should be a tree; they have awesome afterlives</em>.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Here comes the "TALK" part of my review of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. This is my first separate talk, aside from my Daughter of Smoke and Bone talk. I think my Daughter of Smoke and Bone talk has been exempted from this title because I initially had it posted in my Daughter of Smoke and Bone review post and I just parted those two now. Anyways, back-tracking to the actual topic of this, <em>don't read any further than this if you haven't completed the damn book.</em><br />

I have 2 words for the starter of this spoiler-full part: THE DARKLING. My love for this little fella has grown over time. From the first mention of the Darkling when Alina was nearly trampled on to the very end of this book. Although all these secrets the Darkling had has been revealed, <em>we don't know his motives. </em></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is exactly the book cliché where Person #1 does something "unforgivable" and Person #2 automatically judges Person #1. The problem with Person #2 is that he/she doesn't know why Person #1 did what he/she did. But when Person #1 finally receives the chance to prove himself/herself to Person #2, Person #2 realizes they've been mad at Person #1 for no particular reason. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That was a bit more detailed and confusing than I anticipated the scenario to be, I just wanted to assure your understanding about the situation.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Back to the initial topic, I'm not hating on the Darkling because <em>he hasn't had the chance to explain himself.</em> Anyways, even though the Darkling is supposedly "evil", he is still better than Mal. I mean, come on guys. <em>Mal in French means bad. </em>HE'S NAMED THIS FOR A REASON. Mal seems too nice. I feel like he's either going to become evil at the end, or just a plain bad person. Either way, this guy is OBVIOUSLY <em>not</em> going to end up with Alina. It's given. *<em>tbh I hope he dies*</em></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bZzItz2hWCc/VSXfBM7AG5I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/ZwOTMvFPEd0/s1600/blog%2C%2Bdead.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-bZzItz2hWCc/VSXfBM7AG5I/AAAAAAAAAQ0/ZwOTMvFPEd0/s1600/blog%2C%2Bdead.gif" height="103" width="200" /></a><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-07ZgDBIk3oM/VSXeZRp95CI/AAAAAAAAAQk/33WSc66YNxM/s1600/blog%2C%2Bfrustrated.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-07ZgDBIk3oM/VSXeZRp95CI/AAAAAAAAAQk/33WSc66YNxM/s1600/blog%2C%2Bfrustrated.gif" height="110" width="200" /></a> <em>I am literally going to kill Alina. </em>Yes there are times where she is rather useful but naïve. When she was given a chance to gain an advantage against the Darkling (although I bet there was no need, <em>because he's not evil</em>), she chose to be clement and show mercy to the stag. If she hadn't hesitated about her kill, she could've had Morozova's amplifier as the upper hand. But <em>no, </em>now she was under control of the Darkling when she could have been free to practice her power on her own good will. She wouldn't have had to <em>learn </em>how to overpower the Darkling's command to her light, she could have already had supremacy onto her skills. Sorry, this just really <em>infuriates </em>me. <br />
<br />
Speaking about death, </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Onto a lighter subject, let's talk about Genya. Something feels a little fishy about this girl. As expected, Alina would probably have had to find a friend somewhere, somehow. Now, it just so happens to be Genya. The problem with her is, is that they became friends instantly. In my opinion, a friendship wouldn't take such a short amount of time to develop. Also, judging by the fact that Mal has literally been her only friend her entire life, I would guess that it would take a while for her to fully open up to Genya. I'm not so sure yet as to specify what exactly I think is wrong with Genya, but the suspicion is visible. At least to me.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let's talk about Mal. Mal. Yes, there can be times where his sweet side appears but it's nothing compared to the Darkling. That's it; it's all I have to say about him. Okay, well besides the prediction that he could be a Grisha too, with tracking abilities like that. Maybe not so superior as the Grisha, but maybe he has a secretive past that explains perfectly why he was able to find the very horse that the kingdom have been looking for longer than a thousand or a million years (I don't recall the exact number, but you get the idea). His past life before Alina is arising suspicion. It's a choice between him already knowing about what has happened prior to Keramzin or he's about to find out within the next 2 books. Or maybe there's nothing more than just a normal boy finding ( in no more than a couple months) an ancient stag that magical Grisha have been looking all over for centuries. Yeah, nothing extraordinary going on there. *sarcasm noted*</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Due to the fact that Alina is the protagonist and I should've discussed her sooner than everything else, shall we talk about her? Okay, as I've said before, "she is rather useful but naïve". Her clemency has betrayed her more times than it's helped her, I just hope she'll realize it before it affects her significantly. There is character development, but it hasn't grown too much. She's gone from a frail, "little" girl to a much stronger, more confident girl. I wish to see more of her improvement within the next two books. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eJmAdcW3_mI/VSXetkgeaFI/AAAAAAAAAQs/mKPaW0ZnFxU/s1600/blog%2C%2Bbeautiful.gif" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eJmAdcW3_mI/VSXetkgeaFI/AAAAAAAAAQs/mKPaW0ZnFxU/s1600/blog%2C%2Bbeautiful.gif" height="111" width="200" /></a></div>
To conclude this talk, the subject will be the book in its entirety. It's a fantasy, yes. A typical one, at that. Pick a random girl in a magical world and she automatically becomes the one thing that can save them all from the horrors of the past thousand years. Unique, isn't it? *sarcasm once again, noted* Despite that cliché, the book has differing aspects that conflict with other novels. The Grisha, Corporalki, Etherealki, Materialki, Ravka. They're all one-of-a-kind yet are based on an overused idea. Leigh Bardugo has an efficient way to turn a common concept and interpret it into her own. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Overall 4.5 stars.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<br />
I'VE FINISHED SIEGE AND STORM. After the storm has passed (metaphorically meaning my school projects), I've finally gotten the chance to regain some time made for reading. CELEBRATION!!!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I read half of the book as an ebook on my iPad and the other half with my friend's copy of Siege and Storm. I actually borrowed the copy a couple days ago, and because I successfully completed the book with the help of: finishing homework during class time. Thank the Lord for distractions during class. I already returned the book but I won't be borrowing Ruin and Rising for a couple of days because I set up a deadline for myself with reading Aimee and the heartthrob and The Truth About Jack by their release dates (which is April 14, 2015 for the both of them). <br />

Anticipate for a review of Shadow and Bone (I'm almost done typing it) a little after April 14, 2015 due to my busy, busy deadline. I've already finished Aimee and the Heartthrob so I might finish The Truth About Jack sometime soon. Who knows, maybe I'll publish the review soon. <br />

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Today, I will introduce another new "segment" (I'm not very assured as to what to call it) on my blog. I realized that I shouldn't have a spoiler-free and spoiler-full reviews in the same posts. So, my solution was to have a separate post for each. The posts named "REVIEW" are the spoiler-free posts about the book and the posts named "TALK" are the spoiler-full posts about the book.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So here's the "TALK" for Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Based on the title of this book, Daughter of Smoke and Bone, you would guess the protagonist was the <em>Daughter of Smoke and Bone</em>. Like, her mom was the <em>smoke</em> and her dad was the <em>bone</em>. or vice versa. I guess not. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Also from the first page (<em>Once upon a time, an angel and a devil fell in love. It did not end well</em>.), you would think her parents are an angel and a devil. BUT NO. She's still the <em>Daughter of Smoke and Bone</em>, she's just not the product of an angel and a devil. SHE'S LITERALLY MADE FROM SMOKE AND BONE because of the entire "resurrection" ordeal with Brimstone and Chiro. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The SECOND we learned Brimstone was a "resurrectionist", I just knew Karou was Madrigal. I mean, both of them were Brimstone's assistants, they both had a wishbone and Akiva said Madrigal died. Well guess what? I knew it! I knew it! *insert victory dance here*. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's very rare my predictions on a book come true, so this called for a celebration.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh, and when Madrigal said she wished her hair blue (on page 384), that just sealed the deal for me. It was obvious that they had <em>extremely </em>similar circumstances, they might as well be twins! <em>Or the same person...</em></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Brimstone = resurrectionist?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What even? That was not expected. At least, from me. I knew Brimstone had a peculiar job and they were involved in a war, but <em>resurrection</em>? Who saw that coming? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When this book ended, OH MY GAWD. Akiva, what have you done?!?! Like, yes I understand that you were very angry due to Madrigal's/Karou's death, but must you really kill her loved ones? Brimstone? Issa? Yasri? Twiga? Didn't she tell you she was very close to them? Didn't she? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
At least we now *sort of* know what happened when Kishmish arrived with a burned note and died (not to put it in a light way though, I actually liked Kishmish). We know that they're dead and I'm pretty sure Akiva and friends were responsible but <em>what happened</em>?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Besides this newfound anger on Akiva, I really, really <strike>like</strike> love him. He's so sweet and loving and kind and adorable and cute and caring and <em>now I'm just looking for synoyms.</em> To sum him up, he's <em>AKIVA. </em>What more could I say?</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Zuzana and Mik. Ohhhhh <em>Zuzana </em>and <em>Mik.</em> Their relationship is just so endearing and cute. The way they got together was ultimate <em>goals </em>and the way the treat each other is <em>just. </em>Like that's it, the only way to describe them is <em>just </em>because there are no words meaningful enough to match the definition of it. I totally ship <em>Muzana </em>or <em>Zik. </em>#OTPFOREVS. Okay, maybe not <em>one true pairing </em>but like <em>one of a million true pairings. </em>#OOAMTPFOREVS. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let's not forget Karou/Madrigal and Akiva. *Also* the second I read about Akiva in the first couple chapters, I knew he was the love interest. This calls for another celebration *insert victory dance here*. Akiva kept describing Karou as if she were an angel (ironic, really) and Karou would look at Akiva while mentally complimenting him on his face. When Karou and Akiva met again, and Karou led Akiva to her flat, it was FEELS OVERLOAD. Like, she freaking drew multiple sketches of him while he was sleeping. He was <em>sleeping</em>... And then they watched the sunset together, went out for tea. It was <em>adorable.</em> </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When we started to read about Madrigal and Akiva together, I shipped them so hard I was scared. I knew Karou and Akiva were the love team in this one and Madrigal was dead, so I was afraid I would ship <em>dead </em>Madrigal with Akiva more than <em>living </em>Karou and Akiva. All was resolved when we learned Madrigal and Karou were the same person. I was actually so happy because one of my problems were relieved from my back. Now I've got 98 problems and book characters are <em>all of them. </em></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<em></em><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<em> </em>For this next book, Days of Blood and Starlight, I hope for:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<ol>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Karou to go to Eretz (this is expected)</div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Karou forgiving Akiva (probably not)</div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
A third party jumping in between Akiva and Karou (because who wouldn't want a love triangle)</div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
The knowledge of who experiences the pain when you make a wish (it's either Laini Taylor hasn't revealed it yet, or I was just ignorant when it came to that part of the book)</div>
</li>
</ol>
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is pretty much all I have to say for the book, I know this wasn't necessarily as much a book <em>review </em>than it was a book <em>talk </em>but I'm a beginner here so hey, give me some credit. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Tell me what you have to say about the book. Any thoughts, opinions, questions? Just comment down below!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That's all for my post, and remember: <em>you should be a tree; they have awesome afterlives.</em></div>

<br />
I've finally started to read the sequel of Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. It seems that my weekend has been quite hectic due to a presentation I had today (it's over now, thank goodness!). Now that my project has been over and done with, (plus I lack homework), I get a chance to started reading. I finished Shadow and Bone on Saturday in the morning and have only started Siege and Storm now. Chapter 5 really has me hooked. <br />

If you haven't heard of Shadow and Bone or Siege and Storm, here's a little blurb about the books that I always have in my posts:<br />

<br />
Judging by the title of this post, I've obviously finished Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. After less than a week, I'VE COMPLETED READING IT. I know I shouldn't really be rejoicing about such a little accomplishment, but after all: NO ACCOMPLISHMENT IS TOO SMALL.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
To summarize the book in its entirety, three words I would use to describe it would be: captivating, enthralling and fast-paced (if that considered one word). I love-love-LOVE this book. But, I'll save its praise from me for the actual review/talk. <br />

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Unfortunately, it's the week after Spring Break and our well-appreciated vacation is now over. I [obviously] didn't finish as many books as I had thoroughly-anticipated. 5 books have been checked off of my reading list (2 Wattpad books and 3 actual books). </div>
<a name='more'></a> Also, if you didn't know this about me, I believe I haven't yet stated it here, I love reading on Wattpad. In fact, I did a class speech on the subject. Yeah, <em>that's </em>how much I love the community. If you didn't know what it is, it's a community of published and undiscovered writers and readers. You can find out more about the site <a href="http://www.wattpad.com/home"><span style="color: #e06666;">here</span></a>. <br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I'm sorry, I get so off-topic when typing in my posts.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyways, here is the list of the Wattpad books I read this week:</div>
<ol>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Temporarily His by lalamusicisme</div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Must Hate the Playboy by notjustarandomgirl</div>
</li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Then here is the list of the actual books I read during my free time:</div>
<ol>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Three Words, Eight Letters, Say It and I'm Yours by girlinlove (Jade Margarette Pitogo)</div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
548 Heartbeats by Jessamine Versoza</div>
</li>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Cruel Beauty by Rosamund Hodge</div>
</li>
</ol>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Besides expecting another review coming around soon (maybe Let It Snow or Not In The Script), I don't have much more to say in this post.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;"> This post has appeared a tad bit late, due to my filled schedule but it is finally here as you see it. Obviously, I'm reading Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. A couple days ago, short after I started reading the book, I learned that the movie rights have been claimed (because there happens to be a difference between "claiming movie rights" and "making a movie") for Shadow and Bone by DreamWorks a couple months after the book was published. In 2012, the novel was released in June and the rights were picked up in September, only months after publication date. Of course, this news came around long ago in 2012, and as it is 2015 already, I wouldn't expect the movie anytime soon. </span><a href="http://www.ew.com/article/2012/09/12/dreamworks-harry-pottershadow-and-bone"><span style="color: #e06666; font-family: inherit;">View source here.</span></a><br />

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Fortunately, it's Spring Break, which means there's more time to read, review and relax! Now, I've found the time needed to review a book (any book, really) so now it's A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall's turn to have a review. For this post, I'm going to be doing just a spoiler-free review, just because. So let's get started.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o_nAq6wvyBM/VO0sgQfRtxI/AAAAAAAAAGs/PXyD2WCsbsw/s1600/A%2BLittle%2BSomething%2BDifferent.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o_nAq6wvyBM/VO0sgQfRtxI/AAAAAAAAAGs/PXyD2WCsbsw/s1600/A%2BLittle%2BSomething%2BDifferent.jpg" height="200" width="133" /></a><br />

Title: A Little Something Different</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Author: Sandy Hall</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Publisher: Swoon Reads</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Date Released: August 26, 2014</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Number of Pages: 272</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Summary:</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span id="freeText12053576696301364116"><span style="color: #ea9999;">The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common—they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out. But somehow even when nothing is going on, <u>something</u> is happening between them, and <em>everyone</em> can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. The baristas at Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV show. Their bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Even the squirrel who lives on the college green believes in their relationship. <br /><br />Surely Gabe and Lea will figure out that they are meant to be together....</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Like its name, A Little Something Different truly is <i>something different</i>. In a majority of books, we view the main love story from their eyes. As opposed to a majority of books, A Little Something Different is told in 14 different POVs, all of them differing from the main <i>ship</i>. This story is about Lea and Gabe, but not expressed in their perspectives, which gives the reader something new to experience. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
A Little Something Different is about Lea and Gabe, as stated above, and their love story. Lea and Gabe in the same writing class in college, order the same Chinese food and understand the same "pop culture references". They're alike yet different in so many ways. It's a refreshing new take on a love story, there's 14 different view points and all of them are rooting for Gabe and Lea to become a couple. <br />

It's cute, adorable and every other word that describes a book well. On a scale of 1 to 10 and out of 5 stars, I would rate it an 8/4 stars. This is because, as it is <i>cute </i>and <i>adorable</i>, we didn't get much to see after the ending. When all was resolved, I wanted to see more into Gabe's and Lea's lives. Unfortunately, the book just ended there, like a big stop sign. I wanted more; I never wanted it to end, but it did and I didn't appreciate what we weren't given. The book was great, don't get me wrong, but I really wanted to know more. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's a short, sweet read; it's great for Valentine's day (I read it on that day) and whenever you're feeling down. It sure knows how to make you feel giddy and I would totally read it again. </div>

And since birth, she has been in training to kill him.<br /><br />With no choice but to fulfill her duty, Nyx resents her family for never trying to save her and hates herself for wanting to escape her fate. Still, on her seventeenth birthday, Nyx abandons everything she's ever known to marry the all-powerful, immortal Ignifex. Her plan? Seduce him, destroy his enchanted castle, and break the nine-hundred-year-old curse he put on her people.<br /><br />But Ignifex is not at all what Nyx expected. The strangely charming lord beguiles her, and his castle-a shifting maze of magical rooms-enthralls her.<br /><br />As Nyx searches for a way to free her homeland by uncovering Ignifex's secrets, she finds herself unwillingly drawn to him. Even if she could bring herself to love her sworn enemy, how can she refuse her duty to kill him? With time running out, Nyx must decide what is more important: the future of her kingdom, or the man she was never supposed to love.</span></span></div>

<span id="freeText14209735936619204171"><span style="color: #ea9999;">The circus arrives without warning. No announcements precede it. It is simply there, when yesterday it was not. Within the black-and-white striped canvas tents is an utterly unique experience full of breathtaking amazements. It is called "Le Cirque des Reves," and it is only open at night.<br /><br />But behind the scenes, a fierce competition is underway--a duel between two young magicians, Celia and Marco, who have been trained since childhood expressly for this purpose by their mercurial instructors. Unbeknownst to them, this is a game in which only one can be left standing, and the circus is but the stage for a remarkable battle of imagination and will. Despite themselves, however, Celia and Marco tumble headfirst into love - a deep, magical love that makes the lights flicker and the room grow warm whenever they so much as brush hands.<br /><br />True love or not, the game must play out, and the fates of everyone involved, from the cast of extraordinary circus per-formers to the patrons, hang in the balance, suspended as precariously as the daring acrobats overhead.</span></span></div>

Haha, 12 books for a weekly goal? Funny one, Mia. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
With all my homework and busy life, I probably won't get through all of this, but it's a good thing to dream, right? Despite the rest of the list, the first four books are mandatory to have read, because those are my currently-reading books. If I haven't finished those books until next-next week, I would be highly disappointed in myself. Please be reminded, these are my <em>goals </em>of the week, not necessarily what I <em>will </em>read. So don't hold me responsible if all of these books are still to be read by the end of next week. </div>

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I know it won't seem as much to you guys, but for me this is quite an achievement. I'VE HAD MY BLOG FOR A MONTH. Sad, really, how I think of a month-long blog as something to celebrate. Whatever, I'm Mia anyways. I'm weird like that. I guess I'll start off my post with: <em>thank you so much for going on my blog. </em>When I started this "project", I thought I would have only a couple of pageviews (half would have probably been from me). But you guys have proved me wrong. I've gotten a supple amount of viewers and I would like to thank you guys for it. <em>Thank you.</em><br />
<a name='more'></a><br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<em> </em>After such a long month (tests, report cards, projects, etc.), I'm actually really happy I've truly read more than 5 books. At first, I thought I would have to settle on 1 book each week due to busy schedules, but alas I have pushed through. The books I've read this month are:</div>

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Coming from the name of this blog post, I guess I'm adding something new to the blog. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
I've never really done a "Reading Update" because I usually have a book finished that I could talk to you guys about. Although I used to do this regularly ("Currently Reading:__________", "Finished:__________", etc.), school has come to play and has affected my reading life as well. With the term recently ending, school work has been piling and piling up. Another reason as to why I don't update as much, would be that I don't have any books <em>that you know of</em> to update on. My dad has just come home from the Philippines and bought me like 20 books. He's getting me to read all of them, so for the moment, the only books I've been reading are in Tagalog or a book only published in the Philippines. Sorry for this long introduction, I believe I just feel that I needed to explain to you guys why this is happening. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Okay, so for the books I'm reading right now:</div>
<ol><div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Days of Blood and Starlight (I know, I know, I've been reading this book since last month. <em>Hurry up, Mia)</em></div>
</li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
Cruel Beauty (I haven't advanced from the place where I was at [meaning chapter 6] since the last blog post)</div>
</li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<li><div style="text-align: justify;">
The Night Circus (I'm still on chapter 2, but it seems exciting [as usual])</div>
</li>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
</ol>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

She knows who she is—and <em>what</em> she is. But with this knowledge comes another truth she would give anything to undo: She loved the enemy and he betrayed her, and a world suffered for it.<br /><br />In this stunning sequel to the highly acclaimed <em>Daughter of Smoke & Bone</em>, Karou must decide how far she'll go to avenge her people. Filled with heartbreak and beauty, secrets and impossible choices, <em>Days of Blood & Starlight</em> finds Karou and Akiva on opposing sides as an age-old war stirs back to life.<br /><br />While Karou and her allies build a monstrous army in a land of dust and starlight, Akiva wages a different sort of battle: a battle for redemption. For <em>hope</em>.<br /><br />But can any hope be salvaged from the ashes of their broken dream?</span></span></div>

Hello fellows!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
As you can tell from my previous post, I recently finished The Winner's Crime, by Marie Rutkoski. As you can tell from the title, I'll be reviewing it. Differing from my other reviews, this post will be spoiler-free because it is yet to be sold at bookstores. I will keep it spoiler-free, unchanging when the book is actually released. To keep this intro short, let's get started.</div>

For—unknown to Arin—Kestrel is becoming a skilled practitioner of deceit: an anonymous spy passing information to Herran, and close to uncovering a shocking secret.<br /><br />As Arin enlists dangerous allies in the struggle to keep his country’s freedom, he can’t fight the suspicion that Kestrel knows more than she shows. In the end, it might not be a dagger in the dark that cuts him open, but the truth. And when that happens, Kestrel and Arin learn just how much their crimes will cost them</span>.</span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Marie Rutkoski has leveled up her game, with The Winner's Crime. If you loved The Winner's Curse, prepare yourself to the wonders of the second book. In a trilogy, the second book is quite difficult to write, because you have to keep it interesting while not yet resolving the problems in the plot of the book. Clearly, Marie Rutkoski doesn't suffer from second-book syndrome. If you don't know what that would be, it means that the author doesn't quite achieve the same level of the first book with the second. Back and better than ever, The Winner's Crime will put you into a magical trance, filled with love, lust, revenge and war. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
After sealing the deal, Kestrel must face the marriage she chose to accept in exchange for Arin's life- indirectly. On his part, Arin is now the governor of Herran, where slaves are now <em>free </em>and run their own land. Abiding by the deal, Herran must pay taxes to the emperor but the newly-freed people only have so much money. Starving and unhealthy, Herran is now poor and must rely on Arin in finding a way to resolve their problems. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Kestrel's yearning for Arin is significantly increasing but she knows it's best to bury this desire. Her soon-to-happen marriage is bound to come around, but Kestrel doesn't know if she's ready. Ready or not, she must fake it and display to the emperor her loyalty to him. Any sneaky little move made by Kestrel, and a consequence is destined to appear. Kestrel knows it's risky to, but she feeds Tensen (Herran's minister of health) to help Arin govern the land in agreement to keep her identity in secrecy. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On Arin's side, he knows Kestrel is hiding something and he's determined to find out. When he does, it may not be weapons that hurt him, but the real truth behind the things he's been hidden from. With more action, suspense and corners in the plot you would never expect, The Winner's Crime promises much more than The Winner's Curse. </div>

Coming to bookstores on March 3, 2015, guaranteed, this is a book you would never regret reading nor buying. Based on my previous words, it's remarkably obvious the book receives a 4.5 stars. What happened to the 0.5 stars, you ask? It's because I never wanted it to end. Also because I didn't necessarily appreciate the way Marie Rutkoski ended the epilogue. Yes, it was a good suspenseful ending, but <em>NO MARIE RUTKOSKI, CURSE YOU FOR ENDING THE BOOK IN THAT WAY. WHY?!?!?! </em></div>
